STRETCHING: In His Peace

The house is in a you-can-hear-a-pin-drop type of quiet state since it's just me here at the moment. Quiet time is precious to me, so I really try to embrace it when I have it.

I've been perusing through Jesus Calling during this in-His-Presence time, and on the very last page of that devotional by Sarah Young, it actually helps describe what my STRETCHING classes under the ZoeHygiea concept/vision entail! In this passage, Jesus tells us that PEACE "is still your deepest need, and I, your Prince of Peace, long to pour Myself into your neediness....I want you to be filled with My very Being, permeated through and through with Peace."

Just yesterday, I told some friends that the core reason I believe I feel led/called to teach stretching is to help participants of this experience feel the Peace of God and bask in His presence while exercising. Years ago, I quickly witnessed that stretching in an environment designed to promote peace helped me to connect intimately with the Presence of Christ, so I see this process as a valuable life tool for a deeper purpose that helps us reap lots of physical benefits, too. From my experience, when we open up and lengthen the body through stretching, we begin to remove "stuff" that has gotten in the way of us falling more deeply into His arms...of being really intimate with Jesus!!

"I designed you to have no sufficiency of your own," Jesus Calling states. "I created you as a jar of clay, set apart for sacred use. I want you to be filled with My very Being, permeated through and through with Peace."

If I can play my small part helping anyone to connect with His Peace and Love while exercising -- moving between exercises on our backs, tummies, knees, and feet -- beginning and ending with a refreshing level of rest -- then I'm all about it. Let's do it!

Starting, Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, my first ZoeHygiea Stretch & Strengthen class will be at 6:30 p.m., and then Stretch & Relax every Monday and Friday at 9:00 a.m. There will be similarities in both these classes, so I suggest selecting the time that best suits your schedule as opposed to the name of the class. Bottom line, we'll be stretching, strengthening, and relaxing each time!

In His Peace,

Penny
